Consultancy

We work with the HR function to help them become more successful, we particularly work in the areas of strategy and clients management. Our years of expertise and our research means we can help you get your structure right, your HR agenda clearly adding value to the business and your management of clients focused and productive. Examples of the work we have done include:

  • Working with an HR function to transition them from transactional to Business Partners.
  • Designing the HR model for engaging the business. This was then also used for creating a development approach for the global HR function.
  • Developing HR strategy and structure to make it happen. We also worked with the team to upgrade their skills to deliver the strategy.


Stakeholder survey

We can offer '360' assessments of either a person or a team, talking to their colleagues and clients to assess them against the Success Profile or the business' goals. We then identify what works and what needs improvement, before coming up with a plan for greater success. The survey provides both qualitative and quantitative feedback and can be used to benchmark and measure HR's improvement over several years.

Coaching and mentoring

We offer either coaching or mentoring, for senior HR people individually or as part of a group transformation project.
What's the difference between coaching and mentoring?
Coaching helps bring out the best in people generally.
Mentoring has the same end goal - but involves giving some of our HR expertise. We have worked with individuals when they are taking on new challenges or a new role and when they are guiding their team through transition or major business change. We also work with Heads of HR as their advisor, playing the role they play with senior management, reviewing business (HR) strategy and tactics for achieving it, planning change and acting as a sounding board on issues they cannot discuss with others.

Training and Development

We have a number of workshops that we tailor to your own needs. We also provide workshops with our colleagues Orion Partners. (see below)

We know from our research that HR people are rarely just coaches or consultants rather they engage in coaching or consulting conversations with their clients. However clients want to be able to delve deep into these skills so we have designed workshops to cover them. Our approach is practical and involved "double loop learning” that is you learn to coach, for example by being coached yourself. For more information give us a call.

Self-development tools

We've turned our training into guides, tips and tools you can use yourself or with your HR team. Our clients also use this material to keep the learning and development going after a workshop.
